If you had one chance to change history…

Where would you go? What would you do? Who would you kill?

I’m currently reading ‘Time and Time Again‘ by Ben Elton. I’m a huge fan of all of his books and I picked this one up recently, having heard great things about it. I haven’t finished it yet (but what I have read so far is absolutely brilliant and another example of Ben Elton’s excellent story telling), but I have been thoroughly fascinated by a concept within the book.

Similar to the idea in 11.22.63 by Stephen King, this book explores what would happen if you were to return to a significant event in history and change what happened. 11.22.63 focuses on the JFK assassination, and Time and Time Again turns its gaze to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and the start of World War I.

I’d go to ancient Greece, 4th century BC – the most advanced civilisation on Earth. I’d witness architecture, politics, literature and culture unlike anything the world had ever seen before.(3)
